Barcelona suspends the match against Juventus due to an outbreak of gastroenteritis among the team

Barcelona announced the cancellation of the friendly match that was to be played against Juventus in Santa Clara, California, in the early hours of Saturday morning to Sunday. The suspension of the match came due to several of the team’s players suffering from gastroenteritis, the club reported on social networks. FC Barcelona has informed that the match against Juventus, scheduled for today, July 22 at 7:30 pm, at the Levi Stadium opposite the Football Champions League, has been suspended. An important part of the Barcelona team is infected with viral gastroenteritis,” according to the statement, which did not specify the number of infected players.

The match against the Italian side was the first of the pre-season friendlies that Barcelona were planning to play on their American tour. Other rivals of the Catalans on the other side of the pond are Arsenal (Thursday 27, 4.30), Real Madrid (Saturday 29, 23.00), AC Milan (Wednesday 2, 5.00). The club did not say whether the situation would affect the rest of the matches.
