The King and Sánchez will not meet each other in Marivent and will keep their summer office in Zarzuela

Felipe VI and the acting head of government, Pedro Sánchez, will not occupy the traditional summer office at the Marivent Palace in Palma, but will meet at the Zarzuela Palace as is usually the case, at a date to be determined.
Executive spokeswoman Isabel Rodriguez said the post would not be extraordinary, but that the king and Sanchez would meet “in a normal way as usual” once the government takes power after last Sunday’s general election.
This was the case in August 2016, when the king traveled from Palma to Madrid to meet Rajoy in Zarzuela, who was serving as president at the time.
Rodríguez did not schedule the office before the vacation break. Philip VI intends to travel to Palma tomorrow, where on Thursday he will meet with the main authorities of the Balearic Islands.
